Reflection About Extreme EDGE Makeover
The Extreme EDGE Makeover was a mini intensive unit that we did in the beginning of my sophomore year. It was a fun and interesting unit to get us excited for the other projects to come this year. We had two empty rooms in the E pod at our school that could be put to much better use, so we decided to have a competition. Each group would get measurements, plan out financials, and design what the room could look like using our technology and other skills. First, my group decided on roles. I was the main leader of the group and my responsibility was to help with all aspects of the project, check in with my group members, turn things in on time, and keep us on track. We created a vision board for our room with all of out color schemes and what we wanted to include in the room, a financial plan that accounted for the money we had and the money we would spend it on, and we used an app called homestyler to take the measurements we got from the room, and we were able to make our ideas come to life. We then presented in front of a panel that included teachers and mentors, admin, and a professional interior designer. Unfortunately, our design did not win, but my group worked really well together and we were very proud of the work we had completed.
